Your child has access to books you would never have dreamed of reading or using as a teaching tool. Or letting your innocent child touch with a ten foot pole. Yet, the concept of "critical pedagogy" empowers your teachers to use books for classroom discussions you would never have thought of in a classroom. Or in your home. Yet through the computers provided by the school, your child has access to materials not reviewed by community committees to reflect community values.
