CHOICES AND SECRETS

Multilayered and overlying themes take the reader from post Second World War to the end of the

Vietnam War. Readers are confronted with the conflicting and contrasting ever changing roles of

women. Myths about sex and love are destroyed. Harsh reality about abortion, war, and drugs are unavoidable. Margaret, Cameron, and Hayden take us on this journey. The medical world and its

changes and questions about medical, ethical, and economic issues surface as if under the bright

lights of the operating room itself. The Women’s Liberation movement, war, drugs, and unbridled

ambition force us to wonder about that age old question—Are we just physical and mental beings,

or is there a spiritual side that is just as real?
